The United States Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA) hosts 13 Heidmar Blue & Gray Golf Classics annually throughout the country to unite our alumni, parents, friends of the Academy along with their many guests. The purpose of these outings is to raise necessary funds needed to support the Academy’s intercollegiate athletic programs offered to midshipmen student-athletes. These are the same midshipmen athletes who have logged numerous days and hours in some of the most treacherous waters in the world as a student serving our country.

 

To further assist the athletic programs at the Academy, we will host the 19th Annual New York Blue & Gray Golf Classic at the Engineers and North Shore Country Clubs on Long Island on Monday, July 26, 2010. We would appreciate your support by donating an item for this event.

This event attracts over 260 participnats annually and raises approximatly $100,000 in net proceeds for the midshipmen. We would truly appreciate it if you would support us by contributing an item for our auction and raffle.

Know that your contribution impacts the United States Merchant Marine Academy as a whole and that you are assisting the Academy generate the necessary funds to ensure that the midshipmen achieve success worldwide. One of the foremost institutions in the field of maritime education, Kings Point graduates ship captains, marine engineers, naval architects, lawyers and officers in every branch of the United States armed forces in all 50 states and numerous foreign countries.

 

This unique community service opportunity will go noticed as your club will be listed in the event’s program along with receiving a TAX-DEDUCTION letter for your contribution. The USMMA Alumni Foundation, Inc., is the 501(c)3 tax-exempt charitable organization that supports the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy.
